GUIDELINES

General information:

IJIBCS welcomes quality manuscripts from various interdisciplinary subjects and topics. The editors are committed to a fair review of all submitted articles and in order to facilitate the peer reviewing process, it is important that the contributors adhere to the guidelines mentioned below.The manuscripts which will not satisfy these prescribed guidelines may be returned to the author(s) for revision or, possibly, rejected.

Language: Manuscripts can be submitted in English, Hindi, Latvian, Lithuanian, and Estonian

Preferred length of paper: 3000 – 5000 words (excluding Abstract and References)

Format of Document: Submit Microsoft Word documents compatible with Microsoft office 2003/ 2007/ 2010 along with a copy of the manuscript in PDF format.

Manuscript Structure and Formatting:

Manuscripts must be prepared according to the Harvard Style manuals and must follow their respective General Formatting and Style Guidelines for all tables, artwork, figures and captions included in the manuscript.

Major Sections of the Manuscript:

  1. Page One: Title Page (Title, Author name(s) & affiliations, Corresponding Author and Sponsoring information)

  2. Page Two: Abstract (Title, Abstract and up to 6 Keywords)

  3. Page Three :

(i) Main Body (Introduction, Methods, Result & Discussion) & References – for empirical articles;

(ii) Main Body (Introduction, Body (it can also sub-divide into sections) and Conclusion) & References –for theoretical articles.

References:

References too must be added according to the guidelines of Harvard style of referencing.

Responsibility for the accuracy of all bibliographic citations lies entirely with the author/s. Please ensure that every reference cited in the text is also present in the reference list at the end (and vice versa).

Avoid citations in the abstract.

Ethical Principles:

Authors should comply with high standards with respect to publication ethics. Plagiarism, including duplication of own work without proper citation (self-plagiarism), issues of copyright infringement, and breach of other best practices will not be accepted. In this regard,

  • The author should disclose any prior dissemination and/or publication of the whole/ any portion of the matter to the Editor for consideration.

  • The authors are responsible for obtaining permission from copyright holders for reproducing any previously published illustrations, tables, figures, or lengthy quotations.

  • An author is prohibited from submitting the same manuscript for concurrent consideration for publications.

  • lf there is more than one author; written consent from all authors is required for publication.

Declaration of Interest:

All authors are requested to disclose any actual or potential conflict of interest which might have/ perceived to have influenced their work.

Ethical Approval:

All submitted researches should conform to the International Ethical standards and must state that the relevant Ethics Committee or Institutional Review Board provided (or waived) approval for their study. A statement to this effect must appear in the methods section of the manuscript.

Copyright Transfer Agreement:

Authors of manuscripts accepted for publication will be required to sign a Copyright Transfer Agreement (CTA). Signature of the CTA is a condition of publication, and the manuscripts will not be passed to the publisher unless a signed form has been received.
